Complete Guide to HitPaw VikPea Frame Interpolation

What is Frame Interpolation?

Frame interpolation is a powerful feature in HitPaw VikPea that allows you to generate intermediate frames between existing ones, resulting in smoother motion and higher frame rates (e.g., from 15fps to 60fps). This is ideal for sports clips, slow motion, animation, and game footage, etc.

How to Use Frame Interpolation in HitPaw VikPea?

Step 1. Download & Install HitPaw VikPea to Your Computer

Open the HitPaw VikPea application on your PC or Mac. Make sure you are using the latest version to access the newest AI models and features.

Step 2. Import Your Video to Frame Interpolation

There are two ways for you to import your videos for frame Interpolation. Supported video formats include MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, and more.

Way One: Find "Frame Interpolation" on the interface, then drag & drop your videos to the software directly. Or you can click "Import" to open the folder that your videos are in. Then you can see the video file is loading and opened at Frame Interpolation section.

Way two: When you choose Home tab, click the "Choose File" or drop your video files. When the operating interface is showed, you can find Frame Interpolation at AI Toolbox tab.

Step 3: Select Frame Insertion Multiple

There are two choices for frame insertion, 2X and 4X. If you are not sure which one is more suitable for your video, compare the effects in Preview.

Step 4. Choose Export Setting for Frame Interpolation and Export

After selecting multiple for videos, you can find Export Settings area and choose Resolution, Crop Setting, Bit Rate, Format, and Save to fold according to your preference. When the settings are done, click Export button to process the video.

Step 5. Preview Frame Interpolation Effect

If you want to know the fact effect of Frame Interpolaiton, click Preview button and VikPea will show you the effect. When the effect is satisfactory, click the Export button.

Step 6. Export the Interpolated Video

After clicking Export button, HitPaw VikPea will process your videos. You can find them in task list. You can add more videos to the task lists. Turn on the email notification, and you will receive an email notifying you that the task has been completed.
